MSC Magnifica

L’Edera seats 720 guests and is located on deck 5. It is one of Magnifica’s two main dining rooms serving authentic Italian cuisine. Flavours and colours are from an authentic Mediterranean kitchen using garlic, olives, basil, red pepper and tomatoes in traditional family style recipes.

Breakfast and Lunch are open style seating and Dinner is a formal sit down with seatings at 6pm and 8.30pm.

The breakfast menu served from 7.30am to 9.30am offers a selection of eggs cooked different ways, omelettes with a variety of fillings, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, cold meats, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, pastries, bread, cheese, smoked salmon, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit juices along with a special of the day.

For Lunch (served from 11.30am to 1.30pm) a three course menu is served consisting of a selection of starters (such as green pea soup with croutons), a Main Course (for example beef fillet with rocket lettuce and pecorino cheese), a Special Dish (such as oven baked pasta with cheddar cheese or Chilli con carne) and Desserts (including a selection of fresh fruit or, for example, mini chocolate parfait).

Vegan choices are also offered (such as vegetarian strudel and Boca burger) whilst 'always available' options include soup, Caesar salad, pasta Bolognese, chicken breast, beef steak, or salmon served with French fries, baked potatoes, or vegetables of the day.

Quattro Venti is on deck 6 and seats 714 guests. It is the ship's upper level main dining room and is open for dinner only with assigned seating times of 6.00pm for 1st seating and 8.30pm for second seating.

The menu is the same as is offered in the ship's other main dining room (L’Edera).

Part of the Sahara Cafeteria on deck 13 becomes a pizzeria at night, from 7.00pm to 10.30pm and serves a selection of pizzas and calzone for a small charge (around €5.20 to €9.00).

Oriental Plaza on deck 7 is a small intimate speciality à la carte restaurant seating 54 guests in a room decorated with deep gold, black lacquer, floral prints and dragons.

With panoramic sea views L’Oasi on deck 13 (within the Sahara Cafeteria), seating 250 guests, offers a gourmet three-course à la carte meal using typical Mediterranean ingredients with a twist with a menu introduced by acclaimed Italian seafood chef Mauro Uliassi.

La Barachetta on deck 13 serves the pool with drinks and ice cream in a wide variety of flavours.

Prices range from:
€1.50 for a small cup of ice cream
€2.50 for a large cup or cone of ice cream
€3.90 for a smoothie such as mango smoothie
€5.30 for a banana split dessert

Occasionally during a cruise, the ship's midnight buffet is also held here with late night snacks for the guests to enjoy such as chocolate pancakes.

Sahara can accommodate 472 guests and is located on deck 13. It is the ship's self service buffet restaurant serving breakfast and lunch in a casual environment. It features an omelette station, a sandwich bar, pasta station and a grill that serves hamburgers, hot dogs, and other favourites along with a desserts section.

Open from 6.30am for an Early Birds Coffee, the breakfast buffet is served between 7.00am and 10.00am. Lunch is served between 11.30am and 3.30pm and afternoon tea from 4.15 to 5.00pm.

During the cruise a number of midnight buffets are served from 11.30pm to 12.30am in a variety of locations, including the Sahara Cafeteria, such as a Mediterranean Buffet.

The ship's Sports Bar, L’Olimpiade, is located on deck 7 and seats 120. It serves an à la carte menu between 10.00am to 1.00am.

Other items range from Italian flat bread with Parma ham and mozzarella, Italian Gragnano bread filled with sausage, mushrooms and cheese and prawn curry to French baguette with ham, cheese, egg and salad, mini hamburgers, Spanish, German, Turkish and Chinese dishes.

An example of food on offer on the children’s menu is soup or pizza, pasta (such as spaghetti Bolognese or carbonara), fish in tomato sauce, hot dogs, burgers or omelettes served with fries or vegetables and desserts including ice cream, jelly or dessert of the day.

Newly introduced to MSC Cruises is MSC Happy Dinners where children select a meal from the kids’ menu which is served whilst the adults are enjoying their first course. Once the children have finished their meal specialised Kid's Club staff collect them to have fun with friends whilst parents enjoy the rest of their meal.

There is no charge for this service and parents simply need to register their children in advance.

An alternative to MSC Happy Dinners, youngsters can opt for Fun Time Dinners where they dine in a separate specially decorated area of the buffet restaurant, watched over by the entertainment team before departing to the Mini or Junior Clubs where parents can collect them from once they have finished their own meal.

Three of these events are themed into Welcome Party, Italian Party and Farewell party.

Accommodating children from the age of three to eleven, Fun Time Dinners are complimentary and parents simply need to register their children in advance.

A complimentary continental breakfast of pastries, fruit and toast with tea and coffee is served between 7.30 am and 10am (just complete doorknob menu and place outside door before 2am.
