Geiranger

Geiranger is a small village in Sunnmøre, on the western part of Norway in Scandinavia.

Geiranger is surrounded with mountains and waterfalls and due to it's largely unspoilt beauty, Geirangerfjord is a UNESCO world heritage site.

Dalsnibba Mountain Plateau offers an amazing, unobstructed view of the entire valley all the way down to the water.

The Seven Sisters waterfall has 7 separate trails cascading off the side of the sheer cliffs. Get up close with a boat excursion or hire a kayak.

The tiny village has a few souvenir shops selling items such as knitwear, painted woodwork, furry toys and trolls.

Salmon, trout and cod dishes as well as international options are available on menus.

Cruise ships anchor and passengers are tendered ashore within a few minutes.

Toilets, currency exchange, shops and telephones are located near to the tender drop off.

A 'hop on/hop off' shuttle bus, taxis and car hire are also close by.
